Facebook now has one uber headquarter in Palo Alto, California with a huge creative space designed by studio o+a. The design studio interviewed employees to see what they wanted for a better and productive working environment. View the photo gallery below.
Facebook New office in California. See how working with a company that is worth billions.
The collaboration between employees and designers throughout the entire design process kept in mind the different department needs and communities. The building was created to give each department its own unique personality and feel. Very similar to Google’s office culture, Facebook also provides their staff with free gourmet meals, snacks and drinks in micro-kitchens scattered around the workplace. You could almost live here and I would not be surprised if employees are staying on for all the perks, and even hanging out here on their spare time. Perhaps that is the idea..?
I’m confused whether we should call this a “work hard, play hard culture” or a “strong work-life balance”. Employees are encouraged to write on walls, add artwork and move furniture around to fit interior. So, how about moving the desk out to the basketball court or move the ping-pong table into the boardroom, Mark Zuckerberg!
The new Facebook office is a great example of a creative space with the extension of a brand and its culture from the dot com world into the real physical world. Who wouldn’t want to work in such creative where everyone wants to add you as a friend? mecho.com
